The MATLAB Interface

Once you have loaded MATLAB, you should be presented with a very similar screen to the one displayed in Figure 1.1. Don’t worry if it doesn’t look exactly the same, the windows within the main MATLAB interface are customisable and may also be reordered to your preference.

Familiarise yourself with the layout of the windows within the main MATLAB interface. Notice how there are four main windows: Current Folder, Command Window, Workspace and Command History (Command History may not be present until you’ve actually created and run some code). The purpose behind each of those windows shall be discussed later on.
