Customising MATLAB

MATLAB’s interface is quite neat and presents a very comfortable environment to carry out your tasks. However, this interface might not suit everyone because we all have different tastes. Here, you will learn how to show or hide some of the windows and how to reorder them to your liking.
Suppose the Command History window is not displayed in your MATLAB interface. To enable it, you can navigate to the ‘Environment’ section of the ‘Home’ tab, and by docking the Command History, as shown in Figure 1.2. It will then show up below the Workspace window.

Using the same procedure, you can customise what you want shown and what you don’t. Alternatively, if you wish to hide a window from your interface without having to go through the same steps as above, you could left click on the arrow to the top right of the window that you would like to get rid of, and choose ‘Undock’, as shown in Figure 1.3. This will get rid of that window. To bring it back, follow the steps above.
